Sway Analysis Module™ (SAM)

Integrated software module that provides an assortment of parameters such as weight bearing,
symmetry, CoF, direction and amount of sway, and pressure distribution to analyse balance and sway. It is the ideal tool to analyse sway and assess posture by detecting and measuring parameters that would otherwise be unseen by the naked eye.

Timing Analysis Module™ (TAM)

Integrated software module that provides an assortment of foot strike timing parameters; determines percent phases of gait and illustrates left and right asymmetries; and compares the subject’s gait to normal range values. TAM automatically identifies seven anatomical sites on the plantar surface of the foot to generate the temporal data.

Stance Timing Analysis Module™ (STAM)

Integrated software module that provides an assortment of timing parameters related to a single foot strike; illustrates medial and lateral asymmetries; determines phase percentages of gait and compares subject’s foot strike to normal range values.

Research Software

Contains additional features for a more detailed analysis, such as external triggering and video synchronisation. Export data to Excel or MATLAB & save to ASCII or AVI for expanded analysis capabilities. Extra calibrations options available, including tile calibration, multi-point equilibration, tare, and two point calibration. Additional graphs available with histogram display, x-axis with distance unit, and adjustable y-axis scale with minimum and maximum limits. Up to 12 boxes, lines and custom shaped boxes available for more detailed segmentation.

Video Synchronisation

Software that allows you to record video sequences and synchronise them with your pressure data. The video, the pressure profiles, and/or the graphs can then be simultaneously viewed in the Tekscan software.

MatLab® Interface

Software module that allows you to export Tekscan’s standard file format (.fsx) and ASCII data into the MatLab environment for greater flexibility in analysis.

Data Reader Tool (DRT)

The Data Reader Toolkit allows 3rd party software to open and read Tekscan files. It can be implemented into data analysis applications including C#, MATLAB, LabView, and VB to open Tekscan files. This is ideal for users who typically collect large amounts of data, as there is no need to store data in multiple file formats. Users can easily import large amounts of Tekscan pressure data and script a custom analysis to analyse the data more efficiently.

Software Development Kit (SDK)

The SDK is an Application Programming Interface (API), which allows users to program an application that controls and interfaces with Tekscan scanning electronics. Users can customise the presentation and analysis of the resulting interface pressure data. For efficiency, the Pressure Mapping SDK provides sample code for functions in 3rd party applications, including C#, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and VB.
